Radio Controlled Clock
Designed as a centre-piece for Robert Adam’s solo exhibition at the RIBA Heinz Gallery in 1990, the clock mechanism is one of the first radio-regulated clocks. The face of the clock reads the time in the manner of a surveyor’s staff, the graduations of which were specifically designed to be read unambiguously from a distance. The face and hands, the marbling and gilding were all undertaken by Robert Adam.
