Robert Adam offers his experience, expertise and design skills as a consultant. He will undertake consultations on an hourly basis, provide fee quotations for fixed amounts of work, and obtain fee quotations working jointly with other firms.  

His hourly rate is £245.00 plus VAT and disbursements. Fixed price quotations available for defined tasks.
A typical consultation would entail the supply of background information and documents in advance, a hour consultation on site (if there is a site) which could include rough sketches undertaken during the consultation, and a letter setting down any advice and recommendations and, if appropriate, quotations for further work or the engagement of other consultants. If relatively local, this would cost about £600.00 plus VAT and disbursements.
For extensive documentation, such as legal advice, appeal decisions, design and access statements, or extensive planning documents, there would be an hourly charge for their examination. 

Travel time is charged at £170 per hour plus VAT and disbursements. If travel entails time away from home, there is a charge of £600 per night. Car mileage, first class rail travel, connecting taxi or private driver costs, business class air travel, five-star hotel costs and meals are charged as disbursements. 

Professional witness work is charged at £275 per hour.

Payment is strictly 21 days from submission of an account. After that time, there will be an interest charge payable at 5% above the current bank rate.
