A complete replanning of redundant areas of Aldershot barracks to provide 3,850 new homes, with employment, civic buildings, schools, leisure facilities, centre and shops. The plan is based on the original barracks plan and includes the refurbishment and re-use of a series of important historic structures and monuments. The original parade ground forms a central feature of the plan, converted to a long green park which creates a memory of the history of one of the most important military centres in Britain.
