Oxfordshire: major extension to protected history farmhouse.
An extension to an historic farmhouse of an equal size to the old building. A Cotswold farmhouse, protected as an important historic building was extended with a new classical design in the same local stone. The new more formal wing in linked to the old building with an informal extension that provides a break between the two designs. At the gable end, a large kitchen and dining room opens out to the gardens. A garden entrance is marked with a carved stone hood on carved brackets.
