Buckinghamshire: remodelling and extension to modern house.
A modern glass-walled house has been converted to a unique classical house. The original house was of no distinction and had been much altered from its original condition. The new design, however, had to follow the asymmetry of the original. The house was clad in brick and the composition rationalised with the front door marked with a new stair tower. The design is both classical and entirely original and is a demonstration of how even an unpromising building can be remodelled to create a classical villa.
